She volunteers for a variety of social justice concerns. While with a global EAP (Employee Assistance Program), Nancy moved throughout the organization locating solutions for clients’ legal, financial, daily living and elder care needs. It was not until after the challenges presented by her own parents’ advance in age (the “time spent inside the kaleidoscope”, she says) that NAVIGATE NC could be born. Since 2013 the company has emerged as a fast-growing agency with a goal of becoming a market leader for Patient Advocacy services in the Southeast.

Nancy speaks regionally to groups on topics regarding aging and planning. She designed and taught coursework within the gerontology curriculum at a local community college that ushered talented people into the senior care industry. She designed her signature course “A Consumer’s Guide to Healthcare Advocacy” and is serving as an Adjunct Instructor in the OLLI programs (Osher Lifelong Learning) at both Duke and NC State University.

Nancy enjoys provoking thought and guiding folks to create and implement a plan of action. Her antennae are always up with respect to advocacy for your family, education and awareness, and the chance to provide real solutions.
